Our Styling’ Summer Vacation Ride

In the summer of ’69. Dad rented a brand spankin’ new Winnebago, packed in all seven of us (and one friend), and drove to Canada. It was a beaut. 24 feet of luxury. The trademark “W” on the side. Slept six (did we mention there were eight of us?) A working “bathroom” about half the size of an airplane lav. The Canucks were so impressed, we gave tours of the RV at every stop. Tons of fun. Really. Not, Griswold at Wally World fun…but fun.
